After a protracted battle with cancer, Daniel “Dan” Allen Swiger, 67 of Tavares, FL peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL.
Dan was born on September 27, 1954 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Where he was raised and molded into a strong and wonderful young man by his grandmother, Catherine Willow Zebley.
Dan was a driven entrepreneur and had several businesses over the years. He always strived to give his community the best of him in the most honest way. He made many lifelong friends through his businesses and in working with those in his community over the years.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Catherine Willow Zebley and his mother, Myrtle (Dolly) Tangerman.
He leaves behind his paramour Cindy Cummings who he so endearingly referred to as “My Baby”; his daughters Breanna Swiger of Eustis, FL and Brittany Swiger of Deland, FL; stepson Brandon (Kellie) Cummings of Cibolo, TX; stepdaughter Stevi (Jason) Phillips of Tavares, FL; nine beautiful grandchildren Bryce, Allison, Jalyn, Nevaeh, Billy, Avery, Jase, Conor and Oliver; Aunt Vivian (Bubbles) Stormick of WV; Uncle David Zebley of WV; Cousins: Diane Thompson Arnett of WV, Becky Spitler of WV and Karen Carter of WV; and many other beloved family members and friends.
A celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at 1235 Natureland Court, Mount Dora, FL 32757, on Sunday June 5, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
