A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly stalking his ex-wife.

A senior Leesburg detective obtained a warrant for the arrest of 49-year-old Donald Ray Aguilar on charges of contempt of court and aggravated stalking after an injunction against domestic violence.

Aguilar allegedly sent his ex-wife 17 emails beginning the morning of Feb. 12. The woman exchanged Facebook messages with Aguilar when she thought he may have inquired about their minor children. Aguilar responded by telling her she should turn off her porch light because he could see her. She went out to her back porch and could see him taking pictures of her and the house from a neighbor’s backyard. The ex-wife had obtained an injunction on Sept. 9, forbidding Aguilar from being within 500 feet of her.

Aguilar also got a mutual friend to text her urging her to call Aguilar.

Aguilar was booked Thursday without bond at the Lake County Jail.
