Leesburg police have identified a 28-year-old shooting victim who died at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
The shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Waitman Avenue, according to the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found Tyshaun Oneal Robinson lying in the roadway. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Life-saving efforts were begun immediately and Robinson was transported by ground to UF Health-Leesburg Hospital. He was later transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he eventually succumbed to his injuries, police said.
