A Leesburg man was arrested Friday night when a Leesburg police officer noticed that his license plate light was not working.
The officer stopped the man’s silver Infinity at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 441 and Sleepy Hollow Road. The driver gave the officer a Florida identification card which identified him as 41-year-old Jorge Luis Vega-Rodriguez, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
A records check revealed that the Puerto Rican native has five previous license suspensions including a suspension for driving under the influence.
Rodriguez was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $10,000. He posted bond the next day.
