A Leesburg man was arrested after repeatedly harassing his neighbor in violation of an injunction.
The neighbor of 61-year-old Matthew Dailey contacted the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday for help after Dailey allegedly used multiple flashing spotlights and loud music to bombard his house. When the deputy arrived at the neighbor’s house on Laralack Avenue in Leesburg, he could observe the lights and extremely loud music coming from Dailey’s house toward his neighbor’s home, according to the arrest report.
The neighbor explained that he had to get an injunction against the Philadelphia native because of constant harassment. He said that earlier in the day he had been talking with another neighbor in his driveway and Dailey started constantly blowing his van’s horn, revving the engine and playing loud music. He told the deputy that this behavior begins whenever Dailey sees him outside of his house and has been constant, even after he obtained the injunction against Dailey.
Dailey was placed under arrest and was transported to the Lake County Jail where he was booked on a third degree felony charge of aggravated stalking. Bond was set at $10,000.
