Ronald Thomson, 72, of Leesburg, FL passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was born on December 16, 1949 in Binghamton, NY. He grew up in Susquehanna, PA. He served in the Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970. He worked for IBM for which he retired after 30 years. After retiring he moved to Leesburg, FL to enjoy retirement life. He traveled and joined several clubs to be with friends and do one of his greatest passions, karaoke. He belonged to the Amvets Post 2006, American Legion Post #0219, F.O.E. Aerie 2644, South Lake County Lodge 1615, Elks 1578 and VFW #8087. Ronald is survived by his wife of 49 years, Candee, two children, Jennifer Thomson and Daniel (Bo) Thomson, and grandchild, Bianca DeVita, one brother, Joe (Diane) Thomson and one sister-in-law, Peggy Thomson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Grace Thomson and his brother, Jerome.
