A Leesburg teenager was arrested Saturday morning while shouting profanities at the law enforcement officers attempting to take her into custody.
Lake County sheriff’s deputies armed with arrest warrants tracked down 18-year-old Lauren P. Locher at a residence in Okahumpka. They found her asleep on a couch and when she was awakened, she refused to move. As officers moved her off the couch, they discovered she had been laying on an Alprazolam pill. She also had a baggie in her rear pocket containing marijuana, according the arrest report.
She refused to walk to the patrol car and had to be assisted to the patrol car by the deputies.
When the deputies arrived at the Lake County Jail, Locher shouted profanities at the deputies and refused to get out of the police car. A stun device was used to get Locher out of the vehicle.
In addition to the outstanding Lake County drug warrants, she is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. She was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $6,000.
