Taste of Lake Expo postponed as COVID-19 cases explode

The annual Taste of Lake and Business Expo scheduled for Sept.17 has been rescheduled for March 11, 2022.

This year’s event was pushed back the same week that Lake County reported 2,236 new COVID-19 cases and there was news that a portable morgue had been authorized for Leesburg Regional Medical Center. The Leesburg Chamber of Commerce stated that many factors entered into the decision to reschedule the event including the desire to return the Expo to a spring event again. The last expo was held in March 2020 just as the COVID-19 pandemic started to impact Central Florida.

As COVID-19 numbers have surged in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties a number of large indoor events have been canceled or rescheduled.

Taste of Lake ticketholders who have questions can call the Chamber at (352) 787-3985.
