A woman was arrested in the alleged theft of corn nuggets and chicken tenders at a Publix grocery store in Leesburg.
Officers were called Thursday morning to the Publix at 717 N. 14th St. after 39-year-old Jamie Lee Wenz attempted to steal the corn nuggets, chicken tenders, a macaroni salad and other food items from the store, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The total value of the items was $40.46.
Wenz has a previous theft conviction.
She was arrested on a charge of retail theft and booked at the Lake County Jail on $2,000 bond.
