James A. Moore, Sr., 84, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Born in Morgan County, Georgia, he moved to Orlando in 1965 from Madison, GA. James was a longtime member of Powers Drive Baptist Church, Orlando, and most recently a member of LifePoint Church, Eustis. James was very active with the Pine Hills Little League, coaching from 1973-1985. He served on the Board of Directors for Pennington Seed and as Chairman of the Board for Pennington Seed Orlando. James was also past president of the Florida Seedsmen and Garden Supply Association and a member of the Southern Seedsmen’s Association. James served his country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen H Moore, Leesburg, FL; 2 sons, Jimmy (Cherlon) Moore, Tavares, FL; Bobby (Jennifer) Moore, Apopka, FL; brother Lamar (Boots) Moore, Alexandria, VA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 till 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
