A Leesburg man was arrested after a bedroom brawl with his live-in lady friend.
Robert William Landrum, 56, who lives at 10636 Kentucky Ave., was arrested Friday at Advent Health Waterman on a charge of simple battery.
He had been in bed sleeping when a woman, who has been in a “romantic relationship” for two years with the Louisville native, wanted to join him in bed. Landrum woke up, pushed her onto the bed and then onto the floor, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The woman had recently had surgery on her knee and it was bleeding when law enforcement arrived on the scene. She also suffered an abrasion on her right hip.
A friend of the woman reportedly attacked Landrum, who was “bleeding from the left side of his face and ear.” He was transported to the hospital.
The woman initially indicated she did not want to pursue charges against Landrum, but changed her mind when Landrum told deputies he wanted to press charges against the woman’s friend who attacked him.
Landrum was booked without bond at the Lake County Jail. The no bond status is due to Landrum’s violation of probation from a drunk driving arrest earlier this year.
