The white 2019 Jeep Renegade bearing Florida tag QCNY31 was taken from a residence on County Road 468 between 2-6 a.m. The vehicle has a blue sea turtle sticker on the rear window, a sheriff’s office report states.

Before deputies knew the SUV was stolen – and prior to it being reported – they spotted it at the Circle K at 2211 Citrus Blvd. in Leesburg at 6 a.m. The person in the SUV was described as a younger Hispanic male last seen wearing a blue hoodie and a mask.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at (352) 343-2101. Those wishing to make anonymous tips can do so via Crimeline.
