Joseph Francis McGunnigle, 81, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on May 25, 2021.
Joseph was born on April 13, 1940, in Roosevelt, NY, to the late James and Gertrude (Dussault) McGunnigle. Joseph has served his country proudly as an Army veteran, and enjoyed a lengthy career as a Naval Planner and Estimator. When he is not spending time with family, he enjoys building things, playing poker, and working on old cars.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Stephanie McGunnigle; a son, Scott Joseph McGunnigle (Ann Marie); a daughter JoAnne McGunnigle Strickland (Jason); a brother, James W. McGunnigle, Jr (Sally); a sister, Susan Condon; 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Devin, and Lucas; 1 great grandchild, Emerald; 16 nieces and nephews, and a host of many family and friends. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; his son Troy Sean McGunnigle; and 2 sisters, Maureen Groening, and Kathleen Krohn.
Joseph was an incredible person, and he will be truly missed by everyone that knew him.
