Three Lake County men found themselves behind bars early Wednesday morning after Lake County sheriff’s deputies stopped their vehicle in Leesburg.
Deputies pulled the vehicle over on Dixie Avenue for a traffic infraction and established probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants, 40-year-old Jamal Almond Wright, of Leesburg; 26-year-old Jamson Livince Lauvince, of Leesburg; and 44-year-old Daungi Yasheika Carter, of Fruitland Park.

A short time later, Master Dep. Tyler Palmer of the sheriff’s office’s Street Crimes Unit arrived to assist in the search, which resulted in 361 grams of MDMA and 286 grams of fentanyl. Cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription narcotics were also located, a sheriff’s office report states.
All three suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Lake County Jail. They each are due in Lake County Court on June 7 at 8:30 a.m., jail records show.
Wright, who lives in the 1000 block of Newman Drive, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in MDMA and possession and/or use of drug equipment. He was being held on $301,000 bond.

Lauvince, who lives in the 2600 block of Legend Court, was charged with driving with license suspended or revoked (habitual offender), possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. He was being held on $7,000 bond.
Carter, who lives in the 700 block of Southern Drive in Fruitland Park, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession and/or use of drug equipment. He was being held on $3,000 bond.
