Flossie Mae Spann

Flossie Mae Spann, 93, of Leesburg passed away on Wednesday, August 26 surrounded by her loving family.

Flossie was born on April 17, 1927 in Rossville, Georgia to John and Elina (Martin) Catlett. She graduated from Leesburg High School and retired after working many years for the Minute Maid Company in Leesburg. Flossie loved gardening and crocheting. She got her greatest joy traveling the globe with her friends from Minute Maid. Her travels took her to far flung parts of the world that included Fiji, Australia and France.

Flossie is survived by her beloved granddaughter Angeline Gutierrez of Leesburg, nephews Kenny Spann of Leesburg and Tommy Snow of Georgia, nieces Josephine Cassidy and Monnie Bell Singletary both of Lady Lake. She also leaves Great niece Tracy Goodman of Lady Lake and Great nephew Terrance Goodman of Leesburg. In addition, the next generation of survivors included great-great-nieces and nephews Kierstan Hobson of Leesburg, Kendall Goodman of Colorado and Brandon North of Leesburg.

The Committal Service will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 10:45 AM at the Lisbon Cemetery in Leesburg with Pastors Corey Lueallen and Bobby Robinson officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 to 10:0 AM at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel 1123 West Main St. Leesburg, FL.
