James Angelos

James L. “Jim” Angelos, 87, Leesburg, Florida passed away on August 1, 2020 at his residence under the loving care of his family and staff of Cornerstone Hospice.

Jim was born on January 18, 1933 in New York City, New York to his parents James Angelos and Agnes (Dice) Angelos. He was a retired Flight Dispatcher for American Airlines. Jim was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg, Florida. He and his late wife Anne “Bea” Angelos moved to Leesburg in 1993 from O’Fallon, Missouri. Jim was a proud veteran who served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He also had worked for the U.S. Army as a Program Manager in Aviation Safety and Support Systems.

He is survived by his two sons: Peter Angelos and his wife Christi of Thornton, CO and Jeff Angelos and his wife Gail of Daytona Beach, FL; a daughter: Diane Morris and her husband Kevin of Des Moines, IO; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a niece and a nephew. Interment Services will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Military Honors.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation at 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, Fl. 32777 in Jim’s loving memory.
