Sumter detectives seek help in nabbing bandit that robbed Bushnell Dollar General store

Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are asking for help in identifying a man who recently robbed the Dollar General store in Bushnell.

Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are looking for this man, who they say robbed the Dollar General store in Bushnell last week.

The man, described as a white male, 30-50 years of age with thinning red hair and a goatee, came into the store, located at 125 W Belt Ave., at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 and committed the robbery. It’s not known if the robber was armed, as he suggested he had a weapon but never brandished it, a sheriff’s office report states.

The man was believed to be wearing a gray shirt with red lettering across the chest, a blue zip-up style hoodie jacket with red lettering, black shorts and white shoes.
