Frances Battista-Bashor, aged 79, born on March 14, 1943, passed away peacefully at home in Leesburg, Florida at 11:23 pm on August 3, 2022. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer in October 2018 and fought bravely against the disease.

Frances was raised in the Italian American neighborhoods of South Philadelphia and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1977. She became fond of the warm weather and made Florida her home. Frances retired to Leesburg, Florida in 2004 after a career as an office manager and medical assistant. She loved animals and cats and, in her later years, started a robust cat sitting service. She enjoyed caring for the beloved pets of her clients. She loved to cook, dance, and spend time with her family and friends. The beach and time at water aerobics were her happy places.

Frances was charismatic, charming, and possessed a classy elegance and keen sense of style. She was a kind spirit who was quick to offer a comforting chat, a card in the mail, or a phone call to anyone in need. Frances was stronger than she realized.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Kristin Battista-Frazee and her husband Brian Frazee; her partner Carl Kurtz and his daughter Shelley Kurtz; her sister, Dolores Giesman and her husband Larry Giesman; her brother, Gerald Parrotto; former spouse, Anthony Battista; granddaughter, Grace Frazee; her four nieces, Connie Hudson, Lorraine Perkins, Donna Giesman Kessler, and Laura Giesman; her nephew Alex Parrotto; her cousins Edward DiGiovanni and Antoinette Buscemi DiGiovanni; family friends, Kelley Mautz and her husband Chip Mautz; many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband Carl Bashor and her parents Frank and Maria Parrotto.

Frances will be missed and remembered always.
