A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested for trespassing at Quality Inn with a pipe for smoking narcotics.
Officers responded to Quality Inn & Suites, located at 1392 W North Blvd., regarding 69-year-old Gary Lamar Stephenson loitering on the property at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, July 19, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

When the officers arrived, they found Stephenson sleeping on a bench outside. They got his attention and noticed a glass pipe with black, smoked residue under the bench. Stephenson refused to comment on the pipe beyond saying it was not his, the report said.
A check of his criminal history determined he had been trespassed from the property on July 17, the report said.
Stephenson was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia (possess or use) and trespass. He was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,000.
He was also arrested in 2024 after sleeping near a Circle K dumpster with crack cocaine.
