A Georgia man was arrested on a charge of theft after failing to scan $125 in merchandise at Walmart.
Tracy Blocker, 30, used a self-checkout register at Walmart, 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, July 11, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
In that time, he bagged an unscanned jug of detergent and two large packs of ground beef. He also left a bottle of sparkling juice and a bag of onions in the cart. Numerous other items were determined to be unscanned, totalling $125.72, the report said.
A later check of his criminal history revealed several arrests for theft from Georgia, but no disposition was provided regarding the outcome, the report said.
Blocker was arrested on charge of retail theft and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $500 bond.
