A St. Augustine woman was arrested after refusing to leave a Clermont restaurant.

An officer responded to The Station, located at 750 W Desoto St., regarding an employee who wanted a guest to be trespassed for causing problems around 7:20 p.m. Friday, July 10, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department. Upon arrival, he was directed to 59-year-old Leasa Ann Torelli.

The officer went over to Torelli and informed her that she needed to leave. She refused, continuing to sit at a table. After several attempts, he again spoke to the employee, who still wanted her trespassed, the report said.

The officer returned to Torelli with this information, this time asking her to step outside to talk because of the loud music. She again refused. She also provided a false name and a birth year of 2026, the report said.

Torelly continued refusing to get up from the table and gave another false name with the same birth year, the report said. The officer explained multiple times that she would be arrested if she did not leave and identify herself. She still did not obey his commands, instead standing up because she was “going to dance.”

She was subsequently handcuffed and escorted outside to a patrol car. The officer searched her person and found a credit card with her name on it. When asked if it was hers, she continued to lie about her name, the report said.

Torelli was arrested on charges of giving false name, trespass after warning and resist officer without violence. The Connecticut native was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
