A Jacksonville man has been arrested on a warrant after allegedly stealing a semi-truck from his former employers.
An officer with the Groveland Police Department responded to Umarr World LLC, located at 7033 Sampey Rd., regarding a vehicle stolen by 37-year-old London Lloyd Parmer on the evening of April 16, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County.

Two employees advised that a white 2024 International TT semi-truck without a trailer attachment had been stolen from the property. The driver, Parmer, had been terminated that day. He showed up angry, and when told to get out of the semi, he refused, the affidavit said.
He instead drove toward one of the employees, who feared being struck by the vehicle. He then drove toward the entrance gate, where the other employee was trying to close the gate. Parmer drove through it and forced the employee to run to avoid being hit, the affidavit said.
Parmer drove very fast toward the end of Sampey Road to get on State Road 50. The GPS tracker showed he was headed west to Villa City Road, exited onto State Road 27 and drove toward the Florida Turnpike, the affidavit said.
Law enforcement searched the area but was not able to find the semi or Parmer. He was ultimately arrested in Posey County, Indiana, from where he was extradited to Lake County Jail this past weekend, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
A warrant charged Parmer with grand theft auto. He was released from jail after posting $2,500 bond.
