A Groveland man was arrested after allegedly masturbating on top of his car in broad daylight.
Officers responded to a residence on Blue Street regarding 44-year-old Freddie Shawan Solomon exposing his genitals and pleasuring himself in public view around 2:15 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Groveland Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officers found Solomon sitting in a chair in a field behind a residence on Taylor Street. He was upset, claiming no one was helping him and that they were always trying to get him in trouble. He made statements about how, when he became aroused, he pleasured himself because God gifted that to him, the report said.
One of the officers then spoke with the witnesses, starting with Solomon’s aunt. She advised that she saw him on his car, which was parked in the grass next to the house. He was naked and pleasuring himself at the time. She subsequently went outside and stated she was going to call the police, the report said.
Solomon’s brother also saw Solomon masturbating on his car in broad daylight. He witnessed when he packed up his belongings and walked away after his aunt called the police, the report said.
After being read his rights, Solomon stated his rights were at that property. He went on to say he pleasured himself in or outside of his car because he was on his property, the report said.
Solomon was arrested on charge of indecent exposure of sexual organs. He was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
