A healthy Leesburg man will appear in court for using his mother’s handicapped placard while she was back at home.
Brandon Figueroa, 24, received a traffic citation from the Lady Lake Police Department at 3:40 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, according to the citation. He had parked a blue 2014 Toyota utility vehicle using his mother’s disabled parking permit at Rolling Acres Plaza in The Villages. However, his mother was at home.
He was subsequently issued the citation and is due in court on April 30.
