A Leesburg woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after an officer spotted her parked at Wawa.
An officer observed 25-year-old Altyana Dorlita Baker parked in a silver Nissan Sentra at Wawa, located at 3150 W Main St., around 7:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. A check of the vehicle’s plate revealed its registration expired on Jan. 28, the report said.
So, as the vehicle pulled out of the parking lot, the officer initiated a traffic stop at Park Circle. Baker then admitted she did not have a driver’s license and was just cited for it “around two months ago,” the report said.
A check of her driving history revealed a guilty conviction for driving without a valid license in June 2022 and driving with a suspended license in Dec. 2025. She had a valid ID card, but her license had been suspended for an unpaid traffic citation as of Dec. 31, 2025, the report said.
Baker was arrested on charge of driving while license suspended (second or subsequent offense). She was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
She was also arrested in Nov. 2025 after being caught with marijuana in her pocket while leaving Berry Park.
