A Fruitland Park man was arrested for disorderly intoxication after admitting to damaging his neighbor’s vehicle with a wrench.
Officers responded to a possible vehicle burglary involving 30-year-old Brandon Wesley Yundt in the 600 block of East Dixie Avenue around 7:05 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

Upon arrival, they found several people standing in front of a nearby residence. They had come outside after hearing a loud banging noise and saw Yundt by a silver 2004 Ford Explorer in their front yard. He then ran to the back of his house, giving them time to see that the vehicle had damage to its windshield, both side mirrors and the passenger-side headlight, the report said.
The officer proceeded to speak with Yundt who was standing at the side of his house while smelling of alcohol. He admitted that he had been drinking earlier and got upset about family issues. So, he went over to the Ford Explorer and damaged it with a wrench, the report said.
The vehicle owner, who was out-of-state at the time, was to be back in Florida later that night. He estimated the cost of repairs to be $1,500, the report said.
Yundt was arrested on charges of criminal mischief (damage greater than $1,000) and disorderly intoxication. He was transported to Lake County Jail to be held without bond.
He had also been issued a citation in Dec. 2025 for destroying a $375 display at Walmart when he was angry over not getting “laid.”
