A winning Florida Lottery ticket worth more than $13,000 that was sold at a gas station in Lake County has gone unclaimed for multiple weeks.
According to Florida Lottery records, one of four winning Fantasy 5 tickets for the midday drawing on Tuesday, Jan. 6, was purchased at the Mobil Mart located at 4601 County Road 48 in Okahumpka.
The unclaimed prize is worth $13,583.73. Winners of Florida Lottery draw games typically have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
Unlike many winners who use the “Quick Pick” option to let the computer generate numbers, records indicate this specific player manually selected their own numbers for the draw.
The Jan. 6 midday drawing produced four top-prize winners who split the jackpot. While the other three winners, identified as residents of Bradenton, Lantana, and Apopka, have already claimed their shares, the Okahumpka ticket remains the only one outstanding.
The Florida Lottery Fantasy 5 is a daily draw game held for the afternoon and evening. In the game, players select five numbers from 1 to 36. If a player matches all five numbers, they win the top prize, which is shared equally among winners if there are multiple perfect matches.
