A motorcyclist died at the scene of a crash Sunday in Lake County.
The 39-year-old Howey-in-the-Hills man was riding a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 at 5:20 p.m. on County Road 455 at Woodlands Drive north of the Florida Turnpike near Clermont when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
