A North Carolina woman was arrested for theft after allegedly using her infant’s carrier to steal $91.01 in merchandise from Walmart.

Security cameras caught 33-year-old Jareema Sharae Warner choosing not to scan numerous items from her cart at Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, around 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

When she noticed a pair of infant shoes did not have a barcode attached, she just put it in the bagging area. She also concealed several items under her infant’s carrier, not taking them out to scan or bag them. She then left the store with $91.01 in unpaid merchandise, the report said.

Warner was arrested on charge of petit theft and transported to Lake County Jail. The New York native was released after posting $500 bond.
