A Lady Lake woman is due in court in two weeks after trespassing outside of a 7-Eleven despite being warned away in January.
An officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 2058 U.S. Hwy. 27/441, regarding a trespasser around 9:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, according to a case report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. Upon arrival, he found 40-year-old Amber Nichole Morales outside the store.
He then asked Morales why she was on the property knowing she had been trespassed. She advised that she was at the store earlier in the day and spoke to the owner who told her that she could be there. However, when speaking to the owner over the phone, he advised that he gave her a warning and told her police would be called if she came back, the report said.
Being as Morales had been trespassed on Jan. 6, she was in violation of that warning. She was subsequently issued a notice to appear in court on Aug. 26 and warned she would be arrested if she came back to the property, the report said.
Morales has been arrested twice this year, including in March when a work crew found her sleeping in a makeshift camp with drugs and in February after causing a disturbance. She was also arrested in Feb. 2024 when she was stopped on a bicycle with heroin pills and in Nov. 2023 when she was caught with pills in her backpack on a motorcycle.
