Lake County Connection, the County’s disadvantaged transportation service, and LakeXpress, the County’s fixed-route bus system, will not operate on Independence Day. Normal operations will resume on Monday, July 7.
All offices of The Lake County Board of County Commissioners, the Lake County Extension Center, and all 16 Lake County Library System Libraries will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Offices will resume regular business hours on Monday, July 7.
Additional service changes:
- The Lake County Property Appraiser’s office will be closed on July 4. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 7.
- The Lake County Tax Collector’s office will be closed on July 4. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 7.
- The Lake County Supervisor of Elections will be closed on July 4. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 7.
- The Lake County Office of Solid Waste will suspend curbside collection on Independence Day. For affected customers, Friday’s collection will be shifted forward to Saturday, July 5.
- Lake County’s Central Solid Waste Landfill facility, located at 13130 County Landfill Road in Tavares, will be closed for Independence Day and will continue normal operations on Saturday, July 5.
