The City of Eustis and the Ocklawaha Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution unveiled a plaque at the Clifford House.
The city, in partnership with the Ocklawaha Chapter of the NSDAR, hosted a special dedication ceremony on Monday to unveil a new historic plaque at the Clifford House, located at 536 N. Bay St.

Built in 1911 and a cornerstone of Eustis history, the Clifford House now stands further distinguished thanks to this recognition and the city’s restoration efforts. The City of Eustis Events Department led the full scope of restoration and coordination for this milestone project.
“The Clifford House is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also a symbol of our city’s enduring legacy,” said Miranda Muir, Director of Events and Communications for the City of Eustis. “This plaque dedication marks our ongoing commitment to preserving the stories and spaces that define Eustis.”

Members of the Ocklawaha Chapter NSDAR, city officials and community members gathered to honor the home’s historic significance and celebrate the collaborative effort that made the restoration and recognition possible.
The Clifford House is also home to the Eustis Historical Museum and remains a vital cultural asset within Lake County.
