The mayor of Clermont joined in a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday and cheered the arrival of White Castle.
“Exciting times are ahead as we welcome the new White Castle to Clermont! We wish them great success and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community. Welcome to Clermont,” said Mayor Tim Murry at the groundbreaking for the new restaurant in the Plaza Collina development at State Road 50 and Plaza Collina Boulevard.
This new 3,220-square-foot White Castle will feature indoor and outdoor seating, two drive-through lanes, and a fresh take on the brand’s signature tower design with a modern industrial flair. The restaurant is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2025 and to create 75 new jobs, strengthening White Castle’s growing presence in the Sunshine State.
“The Clermont Castle represents our continued love of Central Florida as a great place to be,” said White Castle Vice President Jamie T. Richardson. “It is part of our devotion to the citizens of the area, which includes a future location in Kissimmee’s Old Town Entertainment District.”
The new White Castle builds on the success of the flagship Orlando location—the world’s largest free-standing White Castle—which has become a top performer among White Castle’s more than 340 restaurants since its grand opening in 2021.
