A Leesburg man was arrested for trespassing after warning when a Walmart employee recognized him from a previous incident.

Officers received a suspicious person complaint at Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
While the officers were on scene, a loss prevention employee asked them to trespass 30-year-old Karl Howard Jones who was leaving the store. She believed Jones had previously been trespassed from the business, the report said.
The officers then approached Jones and identified him using his name and date of birth. This information was given to dispatch, and the officers learned he had been trespassed from the store in Sept. 2024, the report said.
Jones was subsequently arrested for trespass after warning. He was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $500.
