The Mascotte Police Department made two arrests regarding a series of vehicle burglaries and thefts in the Knight Lake Estates subdivision in November
A 13-year-old suspect had already been charged with burglary and unlawful use of another’s personal information.
On Jan. 9, the department made a second arrest, apprehending a 14-year-old suspect also involved in the vehicle burglaries. This individual faces additional charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and resisting an officer without violence.
Residents are reminded to secure their property and report any suspicious activity.
