All offices of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, the Lake County Extension Center, and all 16 Lake County Library System Libraries will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. Offices will resume regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Additional Service Changes:
· The Lake County Property Appraiser’s office will be closed on Jan. 1. Offices will resume regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.
· The Lake County Tax Collector’s office will be closed Dec. 31 – Jan 1. Offices will resume regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.
· The Lake County Supervisor of Elections will be closed Dec. 31 – Jan 1. Offices will resume regular business hours on Monday, Dec. 30.
· The Lake County Office of Solid Waste will suspend curbside collection on New Year’s Day. For affected customers, the collection will shift forward by one day: Wednesday collection will shift forward to Thursday, Jan. 2, and Thursday collection will shift forward to Friday, Jan. 3.
· Lake County’s Central Solid Waste Landfill facility, located at 13130 County Landfill Rd. in Tavares, will be closed for New Year’s Day and will resume normal operations on Thursday, Jan. 2.
· Lake County Connection, the County’s disadvantaged transportation service, and LakeXpress, the fixed-route bus system, will not operate on New Year’s Day. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2. For more information and schedules, visit www.ridelakexpress.com.
