An inspector found numerous violations at a popular restaurant in Leesburg.

The inspector found four high-priority violations, two intermediate violations and 15 basic violations during a Dec. 16 visit to The Brick & Barrel at 209 W. Main St., according to a report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

The inspector issued a “stop sale” order upon the discovery on improperly thawed fish, the report indicated. The inspector found raw shrimp and fish stored over cooked chicken in a walk-in cooler as well as raw chicken stored over raw fish in a reach-in cooler on the cook’s line.

The inspector also found there was an accumulation of debris on the warewashing machine and the report noted it was a repeat violation. Two microwaves on the cook’s line had an accumulation of debris, there were dirty cutting boards and the walls of the kitchen had an accumulation of grease.
