The City of Leesburg Commission is seeking citizens to serve on the electric advisory board. Application and additional information is available on the Boards and Committees page of the City of Leesburg website at: www.leesburgflorida.gov/my_city/boardsandcommittees.php.
Five members are appointed by the City of Leesburg Commission. Responsibilities: Board will assist the City Commission in determining, among other things, rates, fees, and charges for all customers of the Leesburg Electric System.
Needed: One Member who shall be a residential customer who resides in unincorporated Lake County to fill a vacant term expiring Dec. 31, 2025; One Member who shall be a commercial or industrial ratepayer that consumes 100,000 KWH or less per month; and One Member who shall be a commercial or industrial ratepayer that consumes 100,000 KWH or more per month.
All Board members must be customers of the city utilities’ systems, have an aptitude for dealing with all aspects of the utility business, be able to travel to utility industry related seminars, and have time available for at least one authority meeting per month.
