A Leesburg man was arrested for allegedly violating a restraining order by knocking on the windows of a woman’s house until she came out.
Deputies responded to a suspicious incident at an undisclosed Leesburg address around 11:34 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the complainant told dispatch that a prowler was at her home the night before. She believed it was 34-year-old Timothy David Rogers, who her daughter had an injunction, or a restraining order, against. She further advised that her daughter had just left the residence with him and was unsure if she did it willingly, the report said.
One of the deputies arrived on scene and observed Rogers changing clothes on the property. Upon identifying him, dispatch advised that he was previously trespassed from the property. They also stated there was a no-contact order between the complainant’s daughter and Rogers, the report said.
Another deputy arrived and met with the victim who advised that Rogers showed up at the residence the night before, knocking on windows and running around the residence trying to get her to come out. She finally went outside to him Wednesday because he would not stop knocking, the report said.
Once the victim went out, Rogers stated he should have beaten her for that. She then told him that she had to leave, at which time he asked her to call him an Uber and stood by the residence, the report said.
Rogers was subsequently arrested and charged with violation of no victim contact (domestic) and trespass after warning. He was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
