Police have released a video of the shooting of an 87-year-old man at a gas station in Leesburg.
The Leesburg Police Department is hoping the video will produce tips from the public in the search for the three suspects.
The elderly man was shot in his car Saturday afternoon at the Citgo gas station located at 2101 W. Main St.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that three suspects had approached his vehicle. Two suspects remained on the passenger side while one approached the driver, who was seated inside. A confrontation ensued, resulting in the driver being shot by the suspect.
The trio fled the scene on foot. Officers administered first aid to the 87-year-old victim, who was subsequently transported to the hospital and underwent surgery Saturday night.
