Get ready to party as downtown Leesburg gears up for the newest and greenest festival to hit town – the Shamrockin’ BBQ and Beer Festival!
Hosted by the Firefighter Charity of Central Florida in partnership with Leesburg’s own McCracken’s Irish Pub, this St. Patrick’s Day weekend event promises two days packed with Irish flair, tasty treats and a whole lot of fun – all for a great cause.
Kicking off on Friday, March 15, at 5 p.m. and continuing through Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Shamrockin’ Festival is not just about celebrating all things Irish; it is about giving back to those who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe. The festival serves as a vital annual fundraiser for the Firefighter Charity of Central Florida, offering support to local firefighters during their times of need, whether battling cancer, PTSD or other major challenges.
The festivities begin with live music on two stages, accompanied by over 45 unique vendors, food and sauce tastings from top BBQ teams in the state and an impressive beer and wine garden boasting 30 unique brews and wines. Feeling lucky? Test your skills at the cornhole tournament, or perhaps witness the spectacle of Leprechaun wrestling – because what is St. Patrick’s Day without a little mischief?
Saturday’s lineup is just as lively, featuring an Irish parade down Main Street, more BBQ delights and a Florida BBQ Association State Championship site competition event where attendees can taste and judge BBQ, chili and sauces from over 40 top-notch competition teams from the south.
And for families, there is plenty of wholesome entertainment at the Shenanigans Zone, specially designed for the little ones.
