The Leesburg Public Library will collect school supplies to benefit Leesburg and Beverly Shores elementary schools.
Each item donated will generate a credit of $1 toward overdue fines up to a maximum of $5. Donated backpacks will count toward $5 in late fees. Fines will not be waived for lost or damaged materials. The program runs through Jan. 31. Supplies that are needed include socks and children’s underwear as well as backpacks, colored pencils and notebooks.
Supplies can be dropped off at the Leesburg Public Library, 100 East Main St.
