A Leesburg man was arrested on 11 counts of child pornography after multiple files containing such content were found on his laptop.
Members of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Cybercrimes Task Force served a search warrant for child pornography at the residence of 68-year-old David Lee Johansson, located at 11320 Ocklawaha Drive, on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 21, according to an arrest report from the FDLE.
A special agent interviewed Johansson in the front seat of her assigned vehicle, during which he did not request to have an attorney present. It was learned that Johansson had viewed child pornography and subsequently downloaded it to his laptop computer in conjunction with adult pornography, the report said.
Johansson used a peer-to-peer file sharing program called “FrostWire” to obtain the files of pornography. He saw file titles with “2YO” for 2 years old and “PTHC” which stands for pre-teen hard core. He further admitted to masturbating to child pornography as young as 12 years old, the report said.
Johansson deleted the files of child pornography but believed some of the files were still on his laptop computer. He was the only one who used the computer as his wife had her own, the report said.
A forensic preview was conducted on Johansson’s laptop where files of child pornography were found. Some of the files were cached “deleted,” but based on his statements, he was intentionally viewing child pornography by downloading it to his computer, watching said files and then deleting them, the report said.
Eleven of the files found on the laptop were chosen for charging purposes, ten of which were image files. These were sexual depictions of nude young girls from 4 to 12 years of age. The last file was a roughly seven-minute video of a similar nature to the photos, the report said.
All of the children seen in the files were clearly and obviously under the age of 18 based on criteria such as child-like facial features and stature, the report said.
Johansson was subsequently charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography. The Connecticut native was transported to the Lake County Jail and released after posting $22,000 bond. A court date was set for Jan. 18.
