City asking volunteers to fill board vacancies

The city of Leesburg is asking interested residents to volunteer to serve on a variety of advisory boards.

Applications are currently being accepted for openings on several boards, including the Carver Heights/Montclair Area Community Redevelopment Agency, the Electric Advisory Board, the Library Advisory Board, the Planning Commission, or the Historic Preservation Board.

The groups meet several times each year. The length of terms, qualifications, and responsibilities varies by board.

The Leesburg City Commission will review all applications and make selections at future meetings.

Interested residents should submit an application to the city clerk’s office by visiting the Leesburg Government Boards and Committees website.
