A Leesburg man with a felony amount of marijuana was arrested at a Circle K.
Devin Rejone Swint, 37, on Thursday afternoon was at a Circle K in Webster when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy ran the license plate number of his vehicle and discovered the car’s registered owner has a suspended license due his failure to meet a financial responsibility.
Swint, whose license was suspended on May 2, said he was not aware of the suspension.
The deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Swint admitted he had “a little bit” of marijuana.
Two marijuana cigarettes were found between the front seat and the center console.Two clear bags containing more than 20 grams of marijuana were found in the center console.
He was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
