A Leesburg woman was arrested after she allegedly started a fight with another woman she accused of talking to a man.
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Mike Street shortly after midnight Nov. 8, when they received a call that 32-year-old Renisha Annette Wallace had attacked two women.
They made contact with a witness who told them she dialed 911 when she heard yelling outside of her residence and saw Wallace hitting and pushing the victim.
The officers spoke with the primary victim who said she was pushed, hit and scratched by Wallace who accused her of talking to a man behind her back. The second woman had heard the shouting and came out of her residence and saw Wallace and the victim fighting. She was able to push Wallace off of the other woman. Wallace chased that woman, picking up a rock and throwing the rock which struck the woman on her neck, according to the police report.
When the officers spoke with Wallace, she said that she got into an argument with the other woman over a man with whom she had been speaking. Wallace claimed the other woman pushed her first which started the fight. She did not mention throwing the rock at the second woman.
Wallace was placed under arrest and booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $4,000 on two counts. She is due in Lake County Court on Dec. 5.
