A suspected thief has been tracked down in a money grab at a Domino’s drive-up window in Leesburg.
Cady Alberto Quinones Pica, 29, was arrested early Saturday morning when he as found on the bike trail behind the freezer plant in Leesburg. He was being sought in a burglary this past November at the pizza restaurant on Citrus Boulevard.
Pica had been caught on video surveillance reaching in through the drive-up window and taking cash. It was after hours at the restaurant and Pica had been spotted by a cleaning crew.
A Leesburg Police Department detective was assigned to the case and he noted that the video showed a distinctive tattoo on the thief. A tip indicated that Pica may have been the man in the video. A review of booking records at the Lake County Jail showed that Pica had been arrested in August. His booking pictures included a picture of a tattoo which was identical to the one shown in the Domino’s security video.
When he arrested on Saturday, he was in possession of a crack pipe. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on two counts of burglary to an occupied structure and two counts of petit theft. Bond was set at $32,000.
