All public schools in Lake County and the district office will be closed Thursday because of Tropical Storm Eta.
The storm is expected to make landfall in north Central Florida early Thursday morning. Portions of Lake County are expecting strong winds and rain from the storm, which was upgraded to a hurricane for a short time Wednesday and is expected to move into the Atlantic Ocean by early Thursday afternoon.
Schools, offices and activities are expected to resume as normal on Friday, Nov. 13.
