A rollover crash in Leesburg sent two people to area hospitals and backed up traffic for several miles on Wednesday afternoon.

Crews from Leesburg Fire Rescue and Lake EMS, along with Leesburg Police officers, responded to the crash at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 441 and Sleepy Hollow Road shortly after 4 p.m.
When they arrived, they found two heavily damaged vehicles, one of which was flipped onto its roof in the intersection.

Firefighters and paramedics removed the injured driver from the overturned vehicle. That patient was then loaded into an awaiting ambulance to be taken to an area hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle initially denied needing medical treatment but then started complaining about arm and leg pain. A second ambulance was called to the crash scene and that driver also was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
