A deputy responded to a verbal disturbance at an undisclosed Lake County residence around 7:53 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, the deputy could hear arguing coming from inside the residence, with a male saying, “You’re going to jail.” The deputy knocked on the door where all parties, including 54-year-old Mallery Davidson Williams, exited the residence. They were separated so the deputy could start talking to them, the report said.

The deputy first spoke to the male victim who advised that he had gotten into an argument earlier with his grandmother. He tried to separate himself by going into his room and shutting the door with his girlfriend and their newborn child in there with him. However, his grandmother and Williams began yelling at him and his girlfriend, the report said.

Williams then threw a glass vase with flowers and glass shard decorations at the victim’s bedroom door. Due to him locking himself in the room, she tried to force herself in by pushing and kicking the door, all while saying she would “destroy” him. The victim placed his back against the door in an attempt to keep her from forcing entry into the room and to protect his family, the report said.

During the struggle to keep the door shut, the victim’s hand and leg were injured by the door, causing some minor bleeding. He believed this was when law enforcement arrived and knocked on the door, as Williams stopped and separated herself from him, the report said.

Williams stated she lived in a separate but attached residence, similar to a duplex. She heard what sounded like glass breaking and went over to check on her mother, or the victim’s grandmother, who the victim was yelling at, the report said.

Williams could not remember if the flowers and glass were there when she came into the residence or if it happened during the disagreement. She only tried to keep the victim and his girlfriend away from her mother. She never tried to enter their bedroom, the report said.

Deputies observed fresh blood on Williams’ left foot upon arrival at the scene. She stated it came from the glass in the hallway. The report noted that deputies found blood on the door to the victim’s room, consistent with kicking at the door.

The report also noted that Williams did not have the same address but lived on a separate side of the house, completely sealed from the victim’s residence, similar to a duplex house.

Williams was ultimately arrested on charge of burglary (battery within). The New York native was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $5,000 bond.
